About Alec Pearson - Executive Coach, NED & Board Advisor
You've Got Further To Go. I'll Help You Get There - With Straight Talking, Real Experience And Someone Genuinely In Your Corner
I work with senior leaders, founders and business owners who want more than a thinking partner. They want honest challenge, commercial perspective and someone who'll tell them what they actually think, not just reflect it back at them.
Meet Alec Pearson
I've spent 34 years working inside businesses - as a senior leader, a business owner and now a practicing Non-Executive Director. That means when we talk about commercial pressure, leadership complexity or difficult decisions, I'm not drawing on theory. I'm drawing on situations I've actually been in.
My background spans multiple sectors, including law, professional services, technology, consultancy, transport and manufacturing, giving me the breadth to work across industries without needing to be taught how they operate.
Over 15 years I've supported more than 5,500 professionals across coaching, leadership development and training, from emerging leaders to senior executives, founders and board-level conversations, across the UK, US and internationally.
I'm geopolitically and economically aware and I bring that live context into every client conversation. Whether it's trade shifts, market pressures or global uncertainty, I help you connect what's happening in the world to what it means for your business and your decisions right now.
“I coach you to lead in your world - not from someone else’s playbook.”
How I Work and Why It Feels Different
Most coaches ask good questions and let you find your own answers. That has its place. But most of the leaders and founders I work with aren't looking for more questions. They're looking for someone who'll listen carefully, think alongside them and then tell them what they actually think.
That's how I work. I bring over 30 years of commercial experience into every conversation. I challenge assumptions, offer a direct point of view and give you the kind of honest perspective that's hard to get from anyone inside your world. Not because I have all the answers, but because I've been in enough rooms to know which questions matter most.
Every session ends with clarity on where you are, direction on what to do next and a clear path forward. Not more things to think about. Actual progress.
I work one-to-one with individuals, with leadership teams and through structured 12-month programmes. All are delivered with the same approach: focused, honest, commercially grounded and tailored entirely to your situation.
No two clients are the same. The challenges, the context, the person sitting in front of me, all different. That shapes how I work with each individual, even when the approach is consistent.

What It’s Like to Work With Me
From the first conversation, people tell me it feels different. Not because of a particular framework or methodology, but because of what I bring: genuine attention, commercial experience and a willingness to tell you what I actually think.
I genuinely care about your progress. I'm not here to run sessions. I'm here to help you get somewhere. That means I'll hold you to account, track what we're working on and make sure every conversation moves things forward.
What clients consistently tell me they value: The clarity I bring to situations that felt impossible to unpick. The fact that I'll tell them what I actually think. The accountability that means things actually change. And the confidence that what's said between us stays between us.
A Personal Note
When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me walking in the Lake District with my children, one of my favourite places in the world, cooking dishes from around the world or immersed in a good murder mystery, particularly international crime dramas.
Like many of the leaders I work with, I've led under pressure, navigated change and had to stay aligned to my values when things got difficult.
That lived experience is what I bring into every engagement - perspective, genuine challenge and practical support grounded in reality, not theory.
